LongDance Ceremony
Longdance brings together those new to ceremonial process and ways, as well as those who return to continue their work year after year, for the past 33 years.
Like many cultures around the world, we gather to celebrate in a sacred way by holding a special annual ceremony that honors the Earth Mother, the living systems of Nature, the phases of womanhood, and Matriarchal lineage of our ancestry.
While the ceremony is danced by women only, men stand in support as members of the Thunder Lodge, our brothers who honor the women by offering balance in holding this sacred container and safeguarding the ceremony.
It is a transformational event for everyone who comes, although there is an age requirement for youth to dance.
A Mother’s Village
A Mother’s Village is a weekly gathering held to invoke empowerment and community throughout the motherhood journey. We are a group of mothers and maidens that gather to enjoy nourishing meals together, to build community, and to connect on topics related to motherhood and womanhood.
In these support groups we bring back the use of art processing, drumming, song, and storytelling to invoke the creative within all women, allowing our community to heal, connect, and thrive through conscious village culture.
We gather weekly on Wednesday Mornings from 10-11:30am
and every first Friday Evening of each month from 6-7:30pm
Spirit Weavers
Spirit Weavers is a five day, all-women’s gathering held in Cave Junction, OR. We gather as a celebration of cultures past, a remembering and practicing of basic human skills to ensure the survival of the body and the soul. Fermenting foods, weaving, dying fabrics, creating ceremony, sharing meals at night and dreams in the morning, drinking tea, and making plant medicines- singing songs, together as a community- these were the common knowledge ways and part of the simple pleasures of a life lived in balance and harmony with nature.
We welcome the young women (11-18 year olds) to experience the MoonBeams Passageway, where they get to experience the highlighted workshops throughout the week and complete their time here with a Threshold Ceremony to be witnessed by their community during this sacred time of their lives!
Sharpening Stone
Sharpening Stone is an annual Earth Skills Gathering held in Southern Oregon. Here we gather for 5 days and nights to connect to Earth based skills through workshops, share songs around the fire, and create memories that last a lifetime. Families are welcome~ there is something for everyone
